The worst trend of 2014 is what is known as the fire challenge. We are in a state of emergency. When our children think that it is acceptable to douse themselves with a flammable substance and shoot a video of them setting themselves on fire, something has gone terribly wrong and fast. What is the desperate need for attention that is plaguing our young people? When did we start to allow social media to dictate self-esteem and standards of acceptance in our households? More importantly, are we as adults fostering this desperate attempt for attention and acceptance by the behavior that we display online? Please respond!
