(You're) You Are Killing Me

   (Deep sigh) I have a serious problem. Every electronic device has some sort of spell check feature. As much as everybody stays on social media, please explain why we refuse to speak the English language? Everyone connected to any of my pages knows that I’m a writer. I may have a typo here and there, but for the most part, I try to spell, use subject/verb agreement, conjugate verbs, and use the correct tense of words. Fellas, it is absolutely appalling to approach a woman; or anybody for that matter, online or in person and not be able to write or speak properly. Ladies, well you already know because I addressed you all as ladies. It's not optional! It’s downright disrespectful to force me to decipher something that is supposed to be proper English when it looks like the new Ebonics. I’m not a translator! If your phone is smarter than you are, maybe you need to allow your phone to auto fill your information.  There is a difference between here and hear, wear and where, no and know, your and you’re, also their, they're and there. Maybe if some people would stop looking at pictures all day and replace it with a challenge like reading and writing, our ability to communicate wouldn't be so difficult. The way that you speak is represented by the way you write and it is the first impression that you present online. Do you really want another person’s perception of you to be that (you’re) ignorant and uneducated? It seems like some people don’t really care. If you did, you would spell check your messages before you hit send. I’m tired of responding to nonsense. It’s not fair to me to be subjected to such careless behavior. It’s also not fair to the electronic devices or the words, or what appears to be words that you type on the screen. The same way that you take time to pose for the camera, download the picture to the site, and post it as your profile picture, please take the same amount of time, better yet, more time to write a message that makes sense. I would hate to believe that this is how you really communicate. If so, you’re in real trouble!! I'm tired of pacifying grown folks. Have some pride! More importantly, respect yourself enough to do the basics. You don't realize that you may become the joke on other peoples statuses. They will screen shot what you tried to write and show it to all of their friends and discuss how ridiculous you are for posting a message when you don't have the ability to write properly. Let me be very clear, because I'm very serious about this post, I do not care who get's offended by this message! Be offended enough to do better! Please think before you speak! Also think, read and edit before you post! Do us all a favor and raise your verbal standard before you talk to me. If you don’t, my only response to you will be absolutely, NOTHING!!
