What It Really Is
By:Kheelen Pierce
Hands in pockets speaks gun, wearing a hoodie means you’re a thug, being handcuffed pinned on the ground is still considered dangerous, leaving a bachelor party the night before a wedding means 50 gunshots, standing on a corner minding your business calls for several cops to kill you, and walking in the street with a friend equals 10 gunshots.
This is AMERICA! This is how BLACK men are dealt with.
We are seen as an infestation that has to be exterminated, so to do this, the government gives cowards a license to kill and the weapons to do it.
Cops are not here to serve and protect, they are here to exterminate, and they are here to kill me, my friends, my cousins, my brother, and every young black man they view as a threat.
Even when we could be walking down a street with our hands up, they still view us as dangerous because to them “HANDS UP” doesn’t apply to us. Our first warning is the bullet piercing our body and escaping with a future we will never get to see.
Just to make sure the job is done, they will fire more rounds into us as if our dead body is a target for them to practice on.
Once the extermination is finished, they revert back to the cowards they really are and try to make us a thug, someone asking for what they have, someone deserving of death, someone who never deserves to see their bride walk down the aisle, someone who deserves to never see his family again, someone who never deserves to see his brother, mother, father, sister, someone who deserves to never see his daughter grow up, someone who deserves to never be able to say, “I’m the first one in my family who made it to college”, all because of the color of their skin, not what they did, because what they did doesn’t matter when cops only see black and white.
Two different views on human life, one is to serve and protect, while the other is to kill on sight.
Kill on sight I repeat, their first instinct is to rip away our future from us and then try to make us seem like we’re criminals when they’re on the streets performing public executions and then claiming self-defense.
What’s the punishment, a paid administrative leave or a slap on the wrist saying, “Don’t ever do this again”?
These cops get a paid vacation for another senseless killing and what does the justice system do? They put together fake juries to please our community when they already know the outcome of the case.
NOT GUILTY, NOT GUILTY, NOT GUILTY, except for us, we are GUILTY OF BEING BLACK IN AMERICA, and for that our sentence is DEATH.
