Inevitable

     Sometimes you just can’t help it! You just have to do something different. It’s the same as someone wearing out his or her welcome. We remain in the same place way too long. This is a characteristic of complacency. If you do an assessment of a situation and weigh the pros and the cons, you find that the reasons for not moving forward do not outweigh the reasons to move forward. Honestly, you really can’t find a logical reason to remain in the same place other than the familiarity of it. You feel dead inside and the fire has gone out. You’ve become so resentful that your emotions are numb. You get to a place where you get tired of existing. The “NEW” is calling you. You can no longer force the pieces of the puzzle to fit because you’ve outgrown the strategy of the game. This is when God makes it difficult to stay still when He has so much more for you. We pray and pray some more for God to show us our purpose, but when He moves us forward, we get scared and resist. God knows that if we don’t move and soon, we will ultimately forfeit our blessing and choose a path that will render us unfulfilled. The beautiful thing about God is when it’s time He will remove the burden of the transition if you just take the first step. Change can be scary, but what’s even more terrifying is remaining shackled in an environment that is no longer conducive of what we need or want. Learn how to recognize His voice. Feel the gentle tug. God is taking you higher. Go higher with Him!
